In the second fan fic I wrote, Matt survives a shooting. It takes hours to bleed out if you are shot in the abdomen but not the stomach (Reservoir Dogs).
Can I just say I hate Ron Moore? I blame him. I know that Jamie choose to leave the show for a pilot (who does that!!!???) but I think he mostly did it to work with Ron Moore again and for that, I may always hate him.
Yep, lower abdominal wounds take a long time to kill you, but Matty looked to have been shot once in the chest, 2 inches left of the midline and once directly below the right pec, 3 inches right of midline. (Thank you freeze frame :) )
Definitely a pneumothorax, collapsed lung, posibly perfed aeorta....
