Are you going to be working in the US? Why do you need to go to Sydney for an interview?

Urgh, the US visa thing is such a fuck around! I'm not going to be working in the US. Will be working in Canada though. But turns out that I can't just apply for the "less than 90 day visa waiver program" to enter the US cause the US counts canada as part of the US for the visa. So once I enter canada my 90 day US visa would be ticking away.

Not sure exactly if/when I'm going to the US (apart from the week at xmas) but figured that I might go and visit there at some stage since I'm in Canada. Which means I need to apply for an actual visa. But Brisbane doesn't have a US consulate so QLD people have to go to Sydney to have the interview etc. See? fuck around!! lol
