Slash 100: 28. Touch

I’ve always meant to do a full long story based on this idea, but I really doubt I’ll ever get around to it. This scene, though, I felt was too great to go completely to waste. So, look, a convenient story line for my Slash 100. Whee!

…Yes, the poison is supposed to be the Naruto world equivalent to HIV.

You just had to make me cry. Didn't you?! Ahhhh.

I know the whole point was to get to the morale about Kakashi and how his eyes are better opened to the world (which was beautiful, by the way) but...does Iruka really die? I know it's implied, and it probably does happen...but had you thought of anything else, like, his death? I don't know, I'm rambling, I felt the story was complete, but to leave it like that, up to faith, just like they are...although the parallel is beautiful and eloquent, I HAVE TO KNOW MORE.

I'm actually planning on using more of this Universe I created for my Slash 100 fics, and your questions will be answered in them, so keep your eyes open for them ^^. I'm on a writing kick right now, so expect them up soon.

Why I'm thinking of it...what parallel *blinks*. I didn't have one in mind, and I'm honestly curious to know what you saw in there. It's a good thing!

I usually don't make sense when I fangasm.

What I mean by the parallel, was...Iruka is basically just going to leave his future (what little time remains) up to faith. He can't stop the disease/poison, so he can only hope that time is good to him, and that his body holds out longer than just a few weeks. And what I meant, with the parallel comment, is that, while Iruka is unsure of his future, you leave the audience unsure of it as well. You ended it with the moral of the story, without relying on a bitter, deathly poignant ending. (you didn't need it, really, message conveyed). I hope I make more sense now. This is what happens when you're a literature student that overly analyzes everything.
