So I'm sitting here doing mah fangirling/multitasking thing (playing Audiosurf/reading Inception fanfic/buying Dissidia 012 DLC/eating donuts), and I'm trying to figure out why everyone keeps talking about Eames' terrible dress sense. So someone's recapping the film (well, mostly pointing out how pretty A and E are, which I can't complain about)

I think it is part of FANdom that Eames' fashion sense is off, in much the same way that some people write Arthur as being a bit of an OCD robot (when, frankly, he isn't like that much in the movie at all) who never relaxes or WORSE YET - Eames is uncultured or classless or unintelligent to the point of being a flirtatious parady or habitual drug user/gambler yahdiyahyah. UGH

And it's odd, because I've found some really excellent fics concerning them that still have something just a bit off. And usually I only realize it when I'm having trouble hearing the characters in their voices. (Arthur's not too difficult, but Eames I have a lot more trouble hearing. Might just be me.)

Plus it's now my personal canon that Arthur's full name is Brendan Arthur Michael Frye and he went on the run after Brick, thanks to a fanfic and the fact that JGL is awesome enough to pull it off. I dunno what that has to do with anything. I just woke up.

(I'd actually love to be able to pull off the waistcoat look myself, come to think of it...)

Of course I will! :D And yus, it's very fun getting into a new fandom, especially one with so much going on right now! Is quite different than my usual.
