A/N: Poked around some old Parameter logs, was listening to Bernard Butler/Coldplay/Linkin Park, in need of sleep and so the emo beast went rawr. In other words, late night semi-depressed drabble. Yay~
Should take place...sometime after Sephiroth's attack on Theia, preferably with Reeve off somewhere for a few days. Just for personal reference, really.

I want my world to end in fire.
Call it the last protest of a fading soul, the final scream of defiance from someone whose voice has long gone unheard... I dream of it. In the mornings, when I wake alone and start another day as empty as the house around me, I remember those dreams.
The flames there burn as hot as Meteor did, and I dance in them with abandon. And as they destroy this broken mortal form, part of me prays that my soul will burn too.
I will bring about that end somehow. Someday, I'll atone...
