ZOMG gay Star Trek characters??

They're in a fan Star Trek project, but they're definitely gay, and they're using a script that was intended for Star Trek TNG (but scrapped becuase of the gayness, of course). Reactions to it have been interesting, so far. A fair amount of people uncomfortable over the four-minute love scene, even more who feel that the scene is a pacing nightmare and goes on for too long.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'd probably agree with them. For me, less is always more. Make your dramatic statement and move on.

Hmm, interesting. I didn't read any reviews about it, other than that article. I've got nine minutes left on the download, but it's 1:30am here and I need to get up tomorrow, so I'll have to post my review of it later this week.

I can see how pacing would be a problem, but are people uncomfortable with the love scene because it's a love scene, or because it's gay? Either way...get over it. If you don't like it, watch something else. I thought they looked cute in the picture I saw. *shrug*

Quite a few found the gay thing made them uncomfortable. To their credit, they admitted that the reaction gave them something to think about.
