Macaroni Grill has changed their menu. I'm not sure I entirely approve.

I've never been to one. But I generally hate it when a place changes their menu.

The new selection seems pretty good overall, but considering that when I do go there I want pasta and they've cut back on selection in that area, I'm not entirely thrilled. They've also made some changes to how they do a few of their old dishes that makes it harder to take Shar there since they're added things he had problems with (like ricotta) to the small handful of dishes he liked. Good thing I don't go there often....

They charge so much in the first place that after my first time there I decided I wasn't going to pay that much for stuff that costs so little, and is so easy to prepare.

After a very long day and three times my usual commute, dinner out with Shar sounded pretty damned good. :)

oof, that's the worst time to find out they changed something too, right when you're going for familiar comfort.

plus it seems weird that a resteraunt with "macaroni" in the name would be cutting back on pasta.......

I suppose they figure as long as they have their "Create your own" they're covered. =S

They seem to be focusing on the Grill part of the name - more chicken, pork and fish meals. They've added pretty decent wood-fired pizzas to the list though, so I'll probably forgive them. I just have to change my mindset about reasons to eat there....
