Ad Astra has come and gone. Here is the obligatory Con Report.

Having had trouble sleeping the week leading up to Ad Astra, I shouldn't have found it too suprising that I couldn't fall asleep until 4am the friday morning. ^_^ ah. It's true then, the mind is the first thing to go. Wow, that felt more like 1000 years ago. Thinking back, I must have lumped it in with the old pre 2001 Anime North masquerades, since we used that hotel for AA that year. It's wierd how things all run together. Just like how Toronto Trek Polaris and Anime North are using the same hotel now. I often get whens and whats and who I saw where confused. XD

It was great seeing you again too Jackie. :) We so rarely get to see each other these days. I miss our old Trek Masquerade days. I guess it will have to be Ad Astra from now on eh?
Yeah , funny miko being there too, and Krikor, not to mention Derwin. All we need is Loopy, Glen, and dear old Pat Woody, God rest her soul, and we'd have a TT Masquerade, full house costumers reunion. ^_^

It was great seeing so many of the great costumers at Ad Astra....too bad more of them weren't in the masquerade though. It would have made it that much more exciting....like you said, from the good old days of TT! Hope to see you at a con sometime soon and if not I'll have to make a special trip to see you in K-W!

I'm really glad you decided to enter the masq! You deserve a chance to prance around on stage looking silly even moreso than the rest of us. ^_^

You definitely looked dead on your feet on Sunday - although I wouldn't worry, you did just fine at the panel (hurray for monsters!)

Loved the tea - it was nice (as always) just to get to hang out and chat. The wee froggy is very happy in his new home.

And I concur with wookiemart - time to sit back, relax, sip some tea and watch the rest of us go crazy for awhile.

I thought you did an admirable job on the monster panel. I know you were a little bit harried, but that's okay. You did add something to the discussion and I think everybody in the room ended up wanting to go out and watch the original Gojira. You can't really ask for much more than that.

Well, maybe if you had some inside scoop on how Toho studio execs were in league with hard-line, Japanese militarists, it might have prompted a follow-up post on Boing Boing, but that's getting a little far-fetched to begin with.. :D
