Ugh, I have a relative like this guy. He's also in his 60's and insists on hovering around the younger crowd during family functions because he doesn't want to accept that he's getting old. It all becomes really depressing when he's following us around, trying to butt into conversations, and not getting that his awkward attempts at mingling are unwanted.
I'd give your cousin a heads-up if she doesn't know already.
From what I heard he already got chewed out for constantly poking his head into the office to see what the boyfriend was doing/talk to him while he was trying to work. Then he whines that he's loooonely when there are four people living there that are in his age bracket to socialize with.
Simply put, the guy's incredibly annoying. Mom and I don't think that he and my godmother will be living there much longer. My aunt's husband is likely to have enough of him and kick them out right quick.
