Possibly because Izumi's voice actor is a girl. ^_^ Megumi Ogata. She's also done the voice of Shinji and Sailor Uranus. You do get used to it after a while, though, and she's really good.

I got used to it... but it still sounds weird whenever he's talking about Meroko. XD And yes, Megumi Ogata is very cool.

12 year old girl would be about 4'10" to 5 feet even. I believe.

There's a big height range, actually. I would say anywhere from 4'6 to 5'3. Ot all depends on how tall her family is and how fast she grows.

Umm.. yeah I guess. I don't know. Her brother's of average height (which I stole from my brother's growth chart), I guess why not. Thanks!
