Pushing the pedal
One of my favorite off and on comment quotes is "One can ride a bicycle by pushing a pedal down or by lifting the other pedal up". It has to be noted here that the former is the most commonly used method, almost a dogma. That sounds distinctly like a flame war between communists and capitalist - especially the ladder notion. That commies make you roll down the ladder for equality rather than encouraging brilliance!
