So. Had my annual follow up with my oncologist. All went well. There as an anomaly on my CT that showed some asymmetry in my throat, specifically the vallecula near the epiglottis. Oh, argh. I haven't quite been in that exact situation, but I know that frustration and disappointment.

That's kind if it, exactly. I've gone in to so many doctor appointments geared up to hear bad news and been happily surprised with good news. It's time, I went in with the expectation of more good news, and was just kind of blind sided by the very quick decision for surgery. No additional imaging, no other tests, just - we need to go in there and see what this is, live and in person. Plus, no guarantee that they won't have to go back in later, if they can't confirm what it is while they are in there the first time. Rar. It's just frustrating.

Yeah, the "we don't know what this is, so we're going to do something really invasive and unpleasant to you" is never a fun ride to go on. :(

Nothing much to say except that I've read this and am sending all kinds of positive.... everything. And alcohol of many kinds. Well, not sending the actual alcohol but wishing much upon you in NYC. And Broadway! And amazing food. Yeah.
