Can I say how much I love this as a law school student? The Vulcan traditions that render them incapable of recognizing same-sex marriage, the question of jurisdictions governing inheritance of property, the idea of appointing one's successor spouse....you've put a lot of thought into how they would affect Kirk & Spock, and their angst really comes through.
