Scherherazade's Slippers *sigh*

Ugh. Woke up with a sore throat yesterday, still had it today with a headache and chills added in. Of course, it did snow today, so the chills could be anything and the headache could be weather related. *laughs* Either I'm in denial, or I'm coming down with something. Will probably know better tomorrow ( Read more... )

*laughs* Believe me when I say I definitely want to get back to translating. My J is dropping faster than... well super fast. @_@ Hopefully this weekend. I want to get these stupid socks' heels done first. (Should be able to do them tomorrow or Thurs. Once they're done, I should hopefully be in the clear. ^_^ )

*blinks* You woke up with a sore throat, too?

I didn't have the headache or chills, although my head's hurting a bit now. But that I blame on work and morons.

Yeah, I'm wondering if there's some bug going around right now. >.> The throat issues seem to be wanting to migrate to the ears which would be bad, otherwise I'm with a mild cough. Hopefully, things'll remain on the mild end. ^_^

Has it been windy where you are recently?

Um, not so much windy as it's been up and down lately. It was 25 recently but will be back in the minus range (with snow) this weekend, so we're having some definite ups and downs this year. >.>

Hope you're doing better. ^_^

Hope you're feeling better today! *pours tea*

I haven't reached r65 yet. I haven't touched them since Sunday (Mystic Light has stolen my soul back, snatching it from the socks saying, "Mine!").

(Tea! Actually, I'm living off of lots of liquids as well as honey & lemon drinks.)

Lucky you. I think I'll do r65/67 differently on the green socks as they haven't reached that point yet, but Jitterbug's heels've now been turned. ^_^ 104 more rounds of patterning before I hit 3x2 ribbing hell. ^^;

So, any advice for rows 65&7? Please!

Poor Shadow. Pesky cabana boy should be there looking after you! hmph!

First advice would be to make sure you use the chart from... week 3? The one that has the chart starting at r59 and not from cast-on. The one from CO is out of date at this point. >.>

The way I did the chart originally was to do the following:

r65: [k4 YO SSK k5 k2tog YO] k3... (mirror change on left)
r67: [k4 YO SSK k3 k2tog YO] k2tog k1... (mirror change on left)

[] = as per chart

What I'm considering is to join the two changes into one such that r67 would be as charted and r65 would be [...YO] k2tog k1 k2tog (mirror change). I'm not sure if you need to keep that part with four stitches for that extra row to keep things looking neater or not. (Still haven't worked on the green guys get them up to speed yet. I also haven't read through the pattern to see if the stitch count would add up with that, although I *think* it should. ^^; )
