Gratitude Can Sometimes Be Hard

But: I am grateful that I did a full day's worth of useful, reporter-type things.
I am grateful that my poor FB will be able to get a very bad tooth taken out tomorrow night, and that the extraction could eventually make him feel better.

Heh ... thanks; after I went to bed, and before I fell asleep, I tried to focus on each of the things I wrote, to summon up the real gratitude. It was a good exercise.

Thank you ). No, I do not think we are all family ), we have not even met and using that word too much might obscure its real meaning )). But I hope we are good LJ acquaintances. Something one can feel grateful for too I think ).

I like to think it's simply an expansion and enrichment of the word, but I understand what you say. So let us be good LJ acquaintances, people for which I also feel grateful. I hope your day (evening, I think, for you) is going well.

Owwww, poor FB. Toothache is really not funny. Hope everyone is feeling a bit better by the time you read this.

And hurray for bed. The only #happything I have from today is (I've got a stinking cold and am missing book group) that I have my lovely furry dressing-gown on and am in bed.

Awk, colds are awful - I'm glad you have the furry dressing-gown on! Many hopes that it's a shorter than average cold, or that the worst symptoms go quickly at least.

And I expect we'll hear from FB after his ordeal. We told him we'd drive him home afterwards, since he will just have had an actual surgical procedure done and shouldn't drive, damnit, but he tells us his lady friend will be there to do those honors.
