How do you make your dad sad? And tell your mom to stop hitting you!

Because I'm not 100% enthused about studying for this accounting qualification (even though it appears to be getting me absolutely nowhere). And also, because 'every time he comes home I'm on the computer'.

Mind you, there was a phase when I was out every time he came home, and he had a go at me for that.
Then there was a phase when every time he came home I had people over, and he had a go at me for that.
And whenever I'm watching TV, he asks if he can watch something else.

I'm running out of books to read, which means I'm running out of options

As for my mum hitting me, I would tell her to stop but it's just so amusing XD

Yup, blowing bubbles is just practise for the future. There's nothing cooler than a dad who blows soap bubbles. And forks over money. And lets 'em do stuff behind mom's back. And cooks great snacks. I think most dads get sad and tired anyway regardless of who's in their lives. Was your mom just trying to put a guilt trip on you?

I don't think my dad's done any of that stuff in a while

"Was your mom just trying to put a guilt trip on you?"
No, she was trying to explain/excuse why whenever my dad and I have 'the accounting talk' (on average twice a week) he just says the same thing over and over and never actually listens to what I'm saying.
