Thank you I wanted to do a role reversal from the start and looking at the picture I thought the merman looked very much like a prince. I have another chapter of Worlds Apart to do and then I will do the next two ch. of Siren's song.

How cute :-)

I agree with the above comment, I hadn't at all expected the merman to be the slave either! I wonder how Lars is going to react to that?

I'm rather "conservative" when it comes to who "fits" to be the slave part in a story (only according to my own highly personal taste of course) but even though I hadn't expected that, and even though The Seventh had a slave of his own. It didn't feel wrong for me. He didn't seem much the "mastery" type before, even being a prince with a slave of his own. So, this was an interesting development.

Poor Seven He views himself as the absolute athority on humans and he's about to find out he doesn't know as much as he thinks he does.

I always planned the merman to be the slave. I didn't plan for Lars to be as much of a slave as he was that part just happened.

I'd love to know your 'conservative' thoughts on people fitting into roles.

He never felt overly 'mastery' to me either. He was one of the masters who treated his slave decently but he doesn't really have the mindset or the skills to be a really good master.

Now the question will be does Lars fit as a master.

He will have to comfort himself with that eventually he will become the expert he already thought he was ( ... )

I don't think that will comfort him at all at first I feels kinda broady/self pityish at the moment but who knows once I start to write it out ( ... )

Yes I really wanted to call him Seven but Lars wants to name him now and well he is Lars' slave and not mine.

So, if blurr is still the seventh's slave, does that mean he is doubly ranked as a slave? Whatawill he be to Lars then( if they ever get to meet)? What is lower than a slave? A thing?

sorry i didn't comment when i read this before...

That's a good question. They will meet I keep playing the scene in my head...it's actually getting in the way of writing the current chapter. As for what he would be....well based on his on society's customs any posessions of a slave really belong to the slave's master, which would make Blurr Lars' slave. However their society really doesn't have instances where people become slaves they are all born slaves so they never really have a chance to own slaves themselves. However when they meet up they will not be living amoung Blurr's people.

I love comments no matter when people leave them :)

a lot of people say they didn't expect the plot twist and I never thought it was much of a twist. But I imagine that's because I knew it was coming.
