Thank you so much for the kind words about this story. 42 brought me back to Doctor Who precisely because of Ten's anguished "I can't lose her" - thanks for telling me I managed to make it intense in the story as well. :))))))
I really love the story, almost brought me to tears when I read "Swallowing back tears, I focus on my mission." but I especially love this: "...but when I turn towards her, I still hope I’ll see the dancing eyes of a playful blonde girl who toppled my world around."
Thank you so much! Especially for quoting your favourite bits. :))) Glad you liked the story, and I'm very touched that it moved you to tears. :) (hmm, does that make me evil? *ponders*)
Beautiful and painful, showing perfectly that in a way he loves them all, yet he's still grieving for the special relationship he had with Rose and the awful way he lost her.
I really like the way you do justice to both.
This is wonderful:
Live for the moment, bearing in mind that it can all end in the blink of an eye, that she can get stranded on the other side of an impassable wall
Oh, thank you! :)) Yes, I think he cares very much for them all even though (to the great big Rose/Doctor shipper I am) Rose is special. Thank you for quoting that line, too. :)
And I'm very, very touched you liked the story. I was very nervous about posting it, especially without any beta's go-ahead first, so I'm glad that what I wanted to convey with it, came across fine.
