The official foreign language taught at school is British English, but we (I say "we" since teaching English is actually part of my job, yay! :)) usually give our older pupils both versions and show them the differences. Back when I was learning English, US English was very much frowned upon. These days, pupils can pick whichever version they prefer as long as they're consistent in their choice ( ... )
