Yesterday when I got home from work I got an email from amazon.fr telling me Doctor Who Series 3 had finally been released here in France. First thing I did, beside squeeing, was to rush over to the website and order it. I mean I got the UK version for my birthday, which is fantastic, but I've always bought both versions since the UK one doesn't

Well it seem the European versions of our beloved Doctor(s) suck!

Here there is only the season 1. And they were able to ruin that too:

they choose voices completely wrong (Jackie seem always drunk, Rose like a person who just get out from jail), but they cut joke, wonderful joke!!!

Like the one where Cassandra introduce people to the "I-Pod" and they bring in a Juke-box... in the Italian version she say "I bring a present, a Juke box" WTF?

Also no extra, no interviews, just nothing at all!!!! The picture is wrong in the Italian version too (it's 4:3 instead 16:9) and the sound is recorded badly, people are complaining that the episode they recorded from TV are better.

When will TPTB understand that people who buy the DVDs actually *care* for the show? Actually, strike that. When will TPTB understand that dubbed version suck all the emotion and great lines out of a show? Some things just can't be translated. Somethings should NEVER be translated, actually. Yeah, I'm an original-version tyran. I know. *g*
