I've been pondering what to write about for a while and decided to start off with making items for charity and why I do so.  This topic has required some soul searching on my part so please bear with me.

This is the PERFECT first entry. It tells so much of who you are, and I can clearly see your childhood. My mom had very much the same childhood, and I, in so many ways, envyu her for it. To have such a life must be fascinating.
And, about your note to me...I will still be doing the project, exactly as planned. I will still choose a project from one of my readers. So, you be sure to send me a pattern.

Thanks for the comment. I'll keep looking for a pattern that I thing you might like and would be a little different from what you have been doing - even tho I prefer to work without a pattern I do occasionally venture into pattern-land and try one.

Patterns are much like cooking for me - a recipe is just a guide to see about what proportions I need and then I change it around to make it mine.
