You know, I *make* jeweled hair sticks. Probably different that the kinds of things that you're looking at, but I can make you matching jewelry.

See....that's the thing.

I have plain hair sticks that only need decorating.

I have more beads than God. (It occurs to me that I should take a pic of this sometime to prove it.) And I have a sales tax number, so if I really want something, all I have to do is pick up a catalog or wait for the next gem show.

And yet...inevitably, sooner or later, there will be something somewhere that I'd contemplate selling my soul for.

The price isn't even the big catch...I have no problems paying artists and craftspeople for good work. It's that I try to budget these indulgences, but they usually show up in clumps - I'd bet I find one or two more in the next week, and then nothing that really catches my eye for 6 months.
