So where has she taken up residence?
Perhaps you could simply give her a bucket inside your chook tractor???

She took up residence in the chook tractor late this afternoon. I can always leave her in there while I organise some eggs and another place to put her. The chook tractor already has water, I would just have to put food in their automatic feeder if I was to lock her in there full time. But the broody house Gyro made the chickens couldn't get out of, which is vital because if they run through the mesh and she can't get out, they can get picked off by kookaburrras. I've had that happen before. I'll think of something :)

Kookaburras attack and kill chooks?

Kookaburras catch and eat chickens - that's baby chooks. They don't attack chooks themselves, but if the chickens can run out of the cage and the chook can't get out there and protect them, there is a problem.

Goshawks attack chooks, which is pretty bold of them, because the chooks are bigger than the goshawks, or fatter, at least :P
