So, I skipped class again this morning. Not good. I feel so guilty about it, since it's the third Japanese class I've missed (it IS a 5 days a week class, though), and I'm already a bit behind AND I didn't really do any studying over the weekend, with my birthday last Friday and my 10th (dating) anniversary yesterday ( Read more... )

But we UM peeps (ahem, I) do understand in some ways, at least. I don't understand how people have time to party! I'm already stressed out about how excited I am about Halloween parties and the midterms I have around the exact same time..bleh...

Anyway, hypothetical: If there was someone who understood, what would you do with them?

I don't think anyone ever really can understand completely. Such is life.

There was context, she had just spent a lot of time telling me how amazing it was that I'm doing this at all, and I think she was trying to address the fact that I don't feel like I fit in; like I can't talk to the other kids in my classes as peers, etc. I think she was trying to tell me to look at them as people with other stuff going on... if that makes sense. But still, it was a little weird.
