Horseriding on Sunday: my cantering continues to improve at a canter. Fortunately, I went first. I hate exercise classes, mainly because they involve other people.

Alex and I once did a Judo class together. We were baaaaad. Also, people kept hitting me! I didn't like it.

... a word used apparently exclusively in North-East Wales. For ages, I thought Charlotte made it up. Recently, however, she claims it was in common use in her home town.

It's not widely known but there are times when only "burmo" is appropriate.

Think along the lines of "try-hard", "a bit sad" and "thinks they're pretty cool" and you're about there.

Hooray for golf!

I reckon that the very fact that I would lose badly in an actual fight would potentially make me more likely to take a pretend fight-themed exercise more seriously. It's all pretend, what has one to lose? I mean, hell, you should see me plump the sofa cushions.
