Geez, it seems like I can't even make two or three posts on here without going dormant for another month or two. I'm not sure if I'm lazy or just distracted, but I really should work on that. It sounds like your hard work is staring to pay off. Having a probable job waiting for you once you graduate puts you in a good position, and hopefully will allow you to devote your attention to your studies, rather than having to worry about what happens next.

You've got that right, Centaur. I've heard stories of graduates that found themselves adrift for a while after finishing their studies while they tried to find a place to do the post-graduate internship work that a some professional licenses require, and considered themselves lucky if the position paid at all. If this works out the way I hope it will, I could have at least the first couple of years of my career set up already, and with the U.S. economy in such a poor state that's a great comfort.
