finished bathroom!!!,

Okay, so you remember back over my Spring Break when I started working on the bathroom and got stalled? Well. Today, dammit, I was determined to finish things up, even in spite of the obstacles that kept getting in the way. *kicks obstacles*

There's still one more thing I want to hang in the bathroom, but I still have to find it, so that'll just have to come later. And, so, in case you're interested...

Here's a before shot. Back when we bought the house. And believe me when I tell you that we did nothing in the bathroom. Shelf for toilet paper and candle. That was about it. And I did love the colors. I just wanted to play with more.

Yis. Painting. I have artfully removed myself from the picture. :D Notice the icky mess where I'd removed the old chair rail and had to pull off some of the wall to do so. Ahhh, remodeling. Always more than one plans...

And, mostly finished!! Starting from the left hand wall as you walk in... The box is a matchbox that I decoupaged (yes, am nerd. but it looks pretty, doesn't it?) The photos are images from Massachusetts and Hawai'i that a very close friend took. She's one of my favorite photographers.

Facing wall (you can still see the left wall). Cool carvings that I found. And a new toilet paper holder. (it matches the silver/nickel in some of the frames).

Better view of the back wall. A couple of adornments on top of the commode. Both gifts from good friends.

The sink wall. More photographs by my good friend. New towel rack and a new hand towel.

The sink. I don't actually like the whole sink unit -- and we still have to get creative with the caulking from where we removed the old mirror -- but we can't afford a whole new sink & sink unit right now, so we're making do with pretty things to go around it. It's also a new mirror, to which I've added a candle and a little jar with rocks. Heh. Yeah, jar with rocks. Makes no sense. But it sure looks purdy!

aaaaand that's all folks! I sort of can't believe that I just gave you a tour of my bathroom. If this feels weird in any way, just pretend it wasn't me, yeah?
