Pay Toilets on Airplanes

Seriously.

Isn't this just the worst thing you've ever heard of? As if air travel holds any allure whatsoever anymore.

Prediction: American Arilines will start charging you based on the amount of oxygen you consume during a flight.

Having flown with Ryanair a hell of a lot, this doesn't surprise me in the least, the only surprising thing is that it's taken this long. They're notorious for being the ultimate stripped-down budget airline, in which everything is an optional extra, including airport check-in. Despite that, they're not the worst airline I've ever flown with, the terrible Thomas Cook take that dubious honour.

It's just, you know, a pay toilet seems beyond the pale.

Disappointed with United going out yesterday?

There was a competition on their website to find other things to charge for, I believe. Expect more soon.

I'm devastated Utd are out and we're going to be in Europe longer than them. I can barely type for the tears :-P

One of the guys in the Guardian was saying that even Ferguson's usual post-match whinging was mild. Even the anti-German stuff. As if the subtext was that not even he could justify such a momentous collapse. I bet Tevez in red, black and white looks pretty good to him at the moment.

It makes me mildly excited for the WC. (Rooney's injury doesn't and if the FA had any sense, they'd kidnap him and stuff him a country house somewhere lest SAF play him the full 90 when the title is out of reach.) Robben, however, looks great. And it's always nice to have a lively Dutch squad in there to break up the predictable plodding about of the Italians, Swiss, etc. and the nastiness of the Argies and the second-tier African sides.
