Very, very interesting. I wonder-- are there people with MPD who are aware of their personalities' existence at the time?

I actually did some research on this topic, in preperation for writing this fic. Usually, according to the medical journals I gained, A DID (Disassociative Identity Disorder, which is the actual name for MPD) can cause audio-hallucinations of the personalities represented in a person. In severe cases, where the situation goes untreated for great periods of time, it has been shown that many report being able to tell when they are about to transition, and many say that it feels like they have no control over it, even when they do feel it coming.
