Golden Compass, etc.

We went to go see The Golden Compass.
It was pretty well done, and I need to re-read the books. >.>

I went to see that movie as well. I can't say that I was too happy about the director's take on it, but I will agree that it was pretty well done. Although I think what pissed me the most off was how they didn't end it correctly, and that Tony Costa's daemon was named Ratter when it was another kid's daemon and Tony did not actually go through the incision at all. There were a lot of inconsistencies with the book but had I not read the book at all I think I would have been fine and pretty much ignorant to what had happened in the book.

My bad, Billy Costa's daemon was not named Ratter. Tony M. was the kid that Lyra and Iorek found that had been cut away from his daemon whose name was Ratter.

It's a Common Genet, native to African countries and very similar ferrets in nature.

If you actually want one, (I don't have one, it's an image of one off of Wikipedia) they're classified as an Exotic.

As cute as they are, do your research if you want to get one and be sure you can handle them (legally and technically)
