last dec. i was interviewed by filipe of
enoughrecords for
PAiN disk magazine. i'm in the
12/06 issue and sound like an ass a few times but it was fun exciting ... to be part of such a rich scene!
i've been feeling infostressed lately, trying to keep up with the headlines on my google homepage. suddenly an
aggregator made sense, where before i couldn't see the need. i tried the open source
gregarius, but it didn't stack up to google's
reader. i like starring items that i need to take action on,
share items i like, and the fact that you can mark news as read just by having looked at it (really helps keep the clutter down and make the inbox feel manageable).
one thing i wish was standardized in RSS ... some sort of Via system. so when slashdot covers a headline "via engadget" and boingboing covers a headline "via laughingsquid," and you're subscribed to both, only the original article will show up.
i've been thinking of switching my cell phone company to metro pcs. unlimited minutes, unlimited text, NO CONTRACT, for cheaper than my plan with t-mobile. metropcs can pull it off because they only serve a few metro areas (san francisco included), coverage elsewhere is non existant and you have to pay to roam. since i have to buy one of their phones to use the service i think it would wind up costing me the same as staying with tmobile, but i'd never have to worry about going over minutes and have the piece of mind from no two year contract (i'm currently month to month with tmobile, i can get out, yay).
missing my electronics kit.
this linemixer could be nice with my gamepark & sk1, but open air works too. so many new interests, already overwhelmed with what's on my plate, got to sleep.
