oh my gosh 8UPPERS FIC!! GUM!! yesssssss. oh my gosh i love the way you build the tension through time-skips and lines like this:

“This is crazy,” Johnny says. Ace hits a wall in frustration, but the problem is that everyone knows why Gum left on his own even though no one wants to talk about it.

the way you slowly introduce how gum is trying to make up for a mistake versus the other guys realizing what gum is doing/why he's missing...but of course 8uppers win and lose as a team, together. oh my heart. ;~;

And Ace punches his good arm and says “Fuck you” and that’s when Gum knows everything is going to be okay.

AND THEN HE STILL SUCCEEEEEDS. oh my gosh, gum. gum and everyone!!!

this really, really hits my ♥TEAM♥ feels, which is just perfect because that's the reason i love 8uppers so much: because they are a team. i love how you have everyone's personalities down in this, too, the way they each deal with gum's disappearance differently

oh my goodness, this is a wonderful fic!!! it's just the kind of thing i want from 8uppers genfic; the team dynamic, everyone's personalities encapsulated so well in the way they each deal with the situation, and.

Yes!! Lots of Gum feels - the guilt and wanting to make it up to everyone by...doing something colossally stupid, and yet pulling it off...so good. And the team dynamics were great :)
