i don't know that there's any action or non-action that will yield unity on that front. what i found most interesting is how this particular legislation has been passed, then revoked, then reinstated, and now re-revoked, pretty much ever since roe v wade.
I suppose so. I was just hoping that traditional conservatives would get a chance to get behind him (on stuff like Constitutional Rights & Gitmo) before he made a move to remind them why they didn't vote for him.
That is way interesting, but also disheartening. I guess that sort of thing is inevitable every once in a while in a Republic.
when a two-party government legislates something that leaves very very little room for neutrality (regardless of whether people are pro-x or pro-y, they stand in opposition to each other--and there's no real pro-z option), yeah. i don't see how else it could happen?
Yes! indeed. If one is going to argue morality about taxes, I would argue that federal taxes are immoral. The conservatives who vote based on a single issue such as abortion wouldn't support my President anyway.
Federal taxes are immoral???? I really fail to understand your view point!
Like it or not, the federal government does provide many services to for our country and its citizens..... How are the taxes the government levies, taxes approved by voting citizens, taxes that pay for these services you and I receive, how are they IMMORAL???
