Knitters: what different methods/styles are there? I can do most stitches and styles (although short rows never end up right), so I'd like to try some other ways of holding the needles or yarn.

Not sure about the one where you hold one needle under your arm, because the needles have to be a) straight and b) long.

Debbie Stoller's Stitch 'n' Bitch book is a good reference book that details Continental knitting. Are you on Ravelry.com? There's a wealth of knowledge there, with groups dedicated to all interests and particular ways of knitting.
