Even after moving the non-sewing storage out of the sewing room area of the basement, I realized that I was constantly cleaning down there because the open joists above meant dirt and dust were constantly falling onto the work areas below. Are those old sewing tables in the first picture? I love them! Any idea where I can get something like that?

They are! I bought most of my treadles via Craigslist. New York can be an expensive market, but if you have a car, Pennsylvania and the more rural areas of New Jersey can be a great resource. My best machines and treadles were from Pennsylvania or in Maryland near PA.

Yard sales and estate sales can also be a good resource, but you'll find prices range from ridiculously inexpensive to out of their mind crazy expensive. You can get a pretty good idea of what to pay for what types of machines if you join the Vintage Sewing Machine group on Facebook. There's lots of other groups, but that's a good group for a newbie because it's very visual--lots of pictures.

TreadleOn.net is also a good resource of how to clean and restore a machine or you can always ask me :)
