HKD 5,241

That's how much Clover's INFANT ticket costs from HKG - JFK - HKG. Even her taxes/ fuel surcharge were higher than ours at HKD 2,551, which makes her ticket - 10% of an adult economy class ticket - HKD 2,690.

When the service rep told me the amount over the phone, I had to re-confirm I was hearing the right thing; that they were charging ( Read more... )

What is SQ's policy? Is the 10% infant tix based of non-discounted full flexi ecy fare too?

Would be good if u can find out. I know SQ definitely charge for infant just that I don't know the 10% is based on the most expensive economy fare or discounted fare.

this is ridiculous. Since she is under 2, shouldn't her fare be just 20% of adult fare??

Well we are paying ONLY 10%, should thank the mighty CX eh?

sq charges the same too, 10% based on normal fare

but 5241 is more than 10%.. looks more like 20% to me!

The breakdown is HKD 2,690 for fare + HKD 2,551 for taxes/charges. I actually asked the person "so you mean to say that the adult fare is HKD 26,900?". Her reply was yes as the 10% was not based on any promo fare.

Woah...very expensive!!! You should write a letter of feedback to the airline. I don't see why infants get charged fuel surcharges when they don't get a "seat" technically.

ridiculous. though the full flex coach ticket to NY cannot be HK$26,900 as i just booked my ticket (same class) for Oct for just short of HK$19k inclusive of fuel surcharges...
