I posted my first spot on reaction to Umineko on my facebook, however I will repeat it to all of my LJ friends.

( Could this be rambling about Umineko? )

Just one point, not all the red truth is said in the anime... so it kinda makes arguments lacking :/

Really, there's a fair amount of stuff/info left out of the anime. Look into the Visual Novels~ :3 (even if it's just watching vids of 'em on youtube, its worth it!)

Oh I know that the series is more complete with the game.. and that it's way better. I'm not arguing with that. I enjoyed it quite a bit and I wasn't trying to say that it wasn't good, just that the anime was ridiculous!

All the last episode needed was the 'small bombs' argument for me and I'd be happy. And they did. And I was happy.

It's good that you watched the anime before looking at the sound novel. You get more enjoyment that way. :3

Oh gods, the small bombs thing just killed me. Oh I think that Battler-Logic is special indeed. It made me weep tears of joy when he said that. I think that it was the horror of seeing his girlfriend being maimed before his eyes that caused the logic-failure. Like the mainframe had broken down or something. POOR BATTLER!

Oh, his logic is so very very very special. He reminds me too much of Phoenix Wright from the Ace Attorney series...only difference is that Phoenix happens to be right half of the time, but we really can't say that about Battler yet since we do not have a solution yet. But it's still LOL worthy.

Though I have to admit that I'm just way more curious about some of the other characters.. like Deranged Strawberry Shortcake and Bermkastel. Just especially with the ending sequence.. they had to take a cake-break from the entire Higurashi/Umineko world

I'm trying not to say that I don't ship Miyo and Rika what with this series, but I know that resolution is just set to fail epically.

...however, once you reach game #5, you'll realize how DEEN fucked up the ending. :/ In the original, it doesn't end there (of course) and it doesn't implicate Beato as the bad guy.

All I can say is that after all those episodes, the ending was a big let down. No logic, no resolution. So, I hope that there will be a season two and in the meantime, I hope I don't eat any small bombs that have anything to do with trap x.
