6244 was a surprise to me. Looking at it on the camera I thought it wasn't going to be that great, but when I viewed it on a larger screen it clicked for me. Something about the way certain colours in the background are emphasized by the partial light really speaks to me.

6180 seems to be a favourite around here :)

Yes, and I was lucky on 6197. The clouds were moving through quickly, and lighting was changing constantly. I wanted a shot where the entire tree was illuminated but little else saw illumination; after some waiting the clouds granted my wish.

It makes me think of jade and cinnabar beads...

Awww, yes it does :) The branches on those plants are so vivid, especially since the leaves are such a pale shade of green. They have a nice texture too :)

I don't think I could ever get tired of looking at mountains.
