Tomorrow's her first official pediatrician appointment. I can't wait. We're guessing she's put on about 4oz, but I really have no idea

How wonderful to read about your time with Wendy so far. I liked going to the doctor with Owen too... you get updates on all the hard numbers and get to ask lots of questions. For us it was also a chance to show Owen off to someone who had seen him from the start.
It is amazing how those first two weeks feel both during and after. Maybe its the lack of REM sleep, but I have only vague memories of that time now.
Thanks for the little updates. I for one really like hearing about you three and feeling a little closer to your family. Here's hoping I get to see Wendy in person before too long.
That has certainly helped. It also seemed clear that the only person who cared to read my skeptical news was me, so I decided to stop putting it up here. Rest assured I still rant in my head on a daily basis about the sheer nonsense out there. ;-)
I wouldn't worry about gender roles and wearing pink. My mom said she loves to dress me up in this grey and pink outfit she had because I looked good and I turned out a major tomboy who really doesn't like pink. I think it is mostly up to Wendy who she wants to be. Of course there is always some influence from parents seeing as how my niece turned out to be a very girly girl and her mom always dressed her in pink and dresses and stuff. But I think there is a tomboy side to her to since she loves playing on the kids climbing walls and getting dirty. So really it's all up to Wendy on who she wants to be.
I'm certainly not worried about it. As long as she's willing to change out of the pink for her ninja assassin missions into something less obvious, I don't mind what she wants to wear. :)
