I figured I'd say it again. See Casino Royale. I'm going to try to watch the 2 earlier Bond movies that may be in the running (From Russia With Love and On Her Majesty's Secret Service) but this may be the best Bond movie ever made. I feel safe in saying that it's many, many times better than the Pierce Brosnan films that we had to suffer

Casino Royale is certainly one of the best Bond movies ever, and Craig makes the best Bond in decades, but the movie would have been irrelevant if Sean Connery's Bond hadn't made such an impression. He launched the series.
But Craig's certainly better than Brosnan, Dalton, Moore, and (the poor guy who everybody forgets), George Lazenby. And that's a start. And I adored the way they handled the material, and that last scene was 100% pure brilliance...
But the Chris Cornell's shitty theme song was, well, shitty. And, to be honest, while the plotting was good, I was extremely disappointed by the story. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to get into that. However, it was still very, very good.

I wasn't too keen on the intro song and I missed the nekkid women dancing but the visuals were pretty decent. It was kinda long and slow in some areas but, as a relaunch of the series, they did a much better job than I or just about anyone else anticipated. I'm curious to see where they go after this. Are they going to stick closer to Fleming's original source material (like this did for the most part, by the way) or are they going to get cold feet and go back to the goofy stuff that most people identify with later Bond flicks. I'm also curious to see if they're going to be able to introduce SPECTRE in the next couple movies due to ownership rights.
I definitely dig an all too human Bond.
