I still feel like it doesn't ring true.

It sounds correct as an adjective (an accomplished musician) or when used to say something like "i accomplished something today."

But using it this way doesn't sound right to me.

Good on you.

My last day temping is Friday, although that's because I got a "real" job in customer service. I'm excited to see what that's like, the having of health insurance and a living wage and a job with no predetermined end date.

that's crazy talk!

i got to fill out a survey for my company today. including a write in "name 3 things that would make you more satisfied with your job." #1 was, of course, "Make me fulltime. If not full time, how about part time so that I get more than the $100/class across-the-board raise for three years of being an adjunct."

i will say this: once i start getting my own medical insurance through an arts organization i am going to join, i will be pretty set. yay!
