It took me a little while to realize this, but I think the first rule of successful blogging is

1. Write whenever you feel like it.

No guilt or apology when you feel uninteresting for large stretches of a time. You have to admit, it would be seriously funny to go a year or so without updating, and then pick right up like you haven't missed a day. XD
