Some local animals near the Zambezi River Lodge

For the last several days of the trip we stayed at the Zambezi Safari Lodge and went on a bunch of Safaris: elephants, giraffes, zebras, Impalas, buffalo among others.

The elephant photo is special.

There was a herd of impalas who always settled down each night just outside the circle of light around the dinner table. Staff said they had figured out that they were safer there than elsewhere in the park; the humans left them alone, and lions tended not to come around.
