Part of it might be that the past 8 years proved that certain right-wing ideas aren't sustainable. As horrendous as the Bush administration it pretty much unfettered, so it's policies and ideas stood or fell on their own merits.

For example: Privatizing Social Security would have been a horrible idea, considering what happen to the markets.

Did you have the problem where you saw the obvious bias in each question's inherent POV, and tried to compensate for it in your answer?

There were things I didn't rate as important, but also didn't want the government to worry abvout....

I think that's intentional, and that how you respond to the question as phrased also reveals your leanings.

Of course, I did want to qualify almost every answer.
