The Unwanted and Unread

I just boxed up seven boxes worth of books I want to get rid of. Included are college texts (I'm finally saying goodbye to my Norton Anthologies), individual Shakespeare plays, duplicate copies of books I have already in nicer versions, bargain books I've never read and probably never will even though they sounded neat, vapid supernatural "Young ( Read more... )

I'm interested in knowing what scifi/fantasy you've got to get rid of, and the coffeetable books, and the ya. But I won't be seeing you until the 30th, I am sure.

Hmmm. Well, I think there's a re-pack of Otakon stuff coming up -- you could come down for that, and I suppose I could hang onto some of this until then.

The YA is mostly crap, really -- pointless tales of teens interacting with the supernatural. A lot of it was picked up on the cheap, or for free. But there are some old classics in the sci fi pile. Marion Zimmer Bradley, Isaac Asimov, Theodore Sturgeon, Ray Bradbury. Many of those are duplicates, but I've also parted with a bunch of my tattered themed anthologies.

I will more-than-likely be happy to take any of the individual Shakespeare plays you may have if they happen to be any that I haven't already purchased myself.

Just buzz me ahead of time and you're welcome to them, though there will be some digging involved. :)

the friends of the library in the shopping center on boiling brook parkway in rockville (off nicholson/parklawn) will gladly take your comic books, vhs tapes, gaming stuff, books, etc. that your friends don't want. and they price stuff to move. they are also not pissy about giving you a receipt for your taxes.

I wish I lived closer to you. I would take the college textbooks off your hands in a heartbeat. I am currently in school and any texts I can read seem to help me learn faster.
