What is the big hoo-haa with Harry Potter? I still have yet to read a book of that series!

My taste in books are more "mature" I think... More Jeffery Archer and Sidney Sheldon type... Tried reading Lord of the Rings but just fell asleep... XD

Hmm, to be honest I'm not too sure why its so hyped up as it is. Personally I just find it a fun-to-read-kids-book. But it does have some nice twists, likable characters, some darker elements (like alot of the supporting cast dying in the last one!) and yeah, its quite enjoyable.

So is this one better thant the last one or is the last one better? Seriously cannot be arsed reading it if it crap. The last one was ok, but I didn't find it that engrossing. :P I've read better books. BTW need to get fotos from you. :)

oh yeah, personally (not that I can remember), I prefered the last book to this one. The fist part of the book went really slowly and hmm, I dunno...
Alot of people liked it though. Everything was wrapped up quite well.

(but maybe you might enjoy the untimely deaths of hmmm! about half of the supporting cast :P)

How corny was it that every damned Hogwarts student that featured as being Harry's friend suddenly appeared at the end to wish him well and say goodbye?

At least this time they didn't say that he defeated Voldemort with POWAH OF TEH LUUUUURVE!!!

The first haf went a bit like Lord of the Rings didn't it? instead of Frodo and Sam searching for Mordor to destroy the ring...it was Harry, Hermione and Ron trying to destroy the Horcruxes....although at least they didn't somehow stumble on a map or find one at every convenient turn...

I wonder what Hermione's parents would have reacted when they found out they were mind wiped and sent to Australia by their 17 year old daughter? "Don't worry dear, its just teenage rebellion...she'll grow out of it eventually" :p

Hedwig didn't last very long did she?

I think she did the epilogue to fully close the story off to prevent any kind of sequel from happening. I can see spin off books on the horzon though.....just like Star Wars...

Man, I'm already forgetting the book :P Am glad she cut down the Harry was saved by his mothers love! shit that was harped on in the other books. Yes. We. Get it.

The epilogue was cringe-worthy, was nice to find out how his life turned out though hmmm, wonder if he ended up as an auror...

Poor Hedwig. I was'nt that fussed about Tonks and Lupin but Hedwig! :( So much personality in an owl :P har har

Hermione used to be such a goody goody but now shes dangerous! :P Poor long suffering parents... They must be terrified of her after that.

Wonder how they'll make the movie. Almost half the supporting cast dying won't make for a fun kiddie flick and its so freaking long!

Actually I was hoping she'd explain the whole connection with the protection charm that needed Harry to be living with his Aunt Petunia....other than it was a charm that would break when he turned seventeen o.O I wanted a gory flashback dammit! The whole Snape-Lily-James triangle was interesting...would be interesting to see what the "unrequited" love story behind Lily choosing James was, aside from that cliche of "they hated eachother at first and then fell madly in love"
