Stackhouse Residence, Bon Temps, Louisiana [Christmas morning]

Dec 04, 2010 16:20

'Twas the morning of Christmas, and all through the house, few creatures were stirring, and if there was a mouse, Sookie was going to be ticked because she took pride in her house and Gran would be furious if there were vermin. The stockings -- all fifteen of them -- were hung by the chimney with care, and while Santa maybe hadn't been there, a tiptoeing blonde had made her way downstairs in the wee hours to tuck candy and tiny gifts into them. Said blonde was quietly moving through the kitchen now, in her pajamas and bathrobe, starting coffee and getting out ingredients for breakfast.

She kind of enjoyed the quiet, and the coolness of the morning. She didn't want to wake anyone up, 'cause she knew that some people's ideal Christmas involved precious sleep. She could wait on presents.
