Check out Gigwise and their apparent 50 Worst Albums of the 2000'sYou know what really annoys me? When people look at a list like this and say something like "I loved Let Go when I was younger - I'm ashamed to admit". Screw that! You liked it and probably still do! Just admit it! I haven't listened to a lot of the "worst" list but was a bit "wha..?" when I saw Avril's "Let Go" on there and pretty much said "WTF?!" when I saw James Blunts.

I think some of them are just meant to be fun pop albums - they're not trying to be anything else.

The "greatest" list is a bit pretentious, as I expected.

"I loved Let Go when I was younger - I'm ashamed to admit".

I totally agree, it annoys me to no end when people say something like that. I mean, sure, it happened to me as well that I don't like something now which I used to like a lot when I was younger, but that doesn't mean I'm ashamed to admit that I used to like it!

I'm more upset though that the Kaiser Chiefs's Yours Truly, Angry Mob is on 40. It's one of my favourite albums ever!

Exactly. Even if you do only really like something for the nostalgia it's nothing to be ashamed about.

There are loads of things I used to listen to but don't anymore. I'm not ashamed that I liked them though.

I haven't heard that album so I can't really comment - what singles are on it? - I thought it was quite well liked though.

Erm.. "Ruby" and "Heat Dies Down" for example. It's a good album, I love it :)

I thought "Ruby" might be on there. That's a cool song.

I agree with what you said about Let Go and Back to Bedlam.
