Dude, I wish I was at Comic Con right now. I swear everyone is at Comic Con this year. I'm sure if I ever went there it wouldn't be as good as I think it would be.

In other news: I watched "Mamma Mia!" last night - it was on one of the Sky movie channels - I have to admit that I'm not a big musicals fan and this movie didn't do anything to change ( Read more... )

I think the worst thing about the singing his character did was that he seemed to be taking it so seriously, whereas when Julie Walters character was singing it didn't seem like that at all.

Ooooo, Mama Mia was no the best musical to watch to try to make you like musicals. You need something that shows how fun Musicals can be, while at the same time moving....you need something like Rent or Hairspray...dude I love musicals...I can help you find the ones you'd enjoy. :-)

I don't watch musicals much - apart from like Grease - which is why I hadn't watched "Mamma Mia" yet. I think that, as a genre, musicals are kind of an aquired taste. People either like them or they don't.

See...being a fan of the musical...I've come to discover that there are TYPES of musicals...and even those who claim to hate musicals can sometimes find a specific type they like. Like for instance I have a friend who hated Mamma Mia but loved Grease and Rent and Phantom of the Opera...it really depends on what type it is. Like are you one who just likes songs to happen and then go to acting....do you hate sing-talking...so on and so forth.

Like for instance...have you seen Rent? Or Hairspray?

Usually when I watch musicals I just wish they'd stop singing already! Lol!

I liked "Grease" though - but I think "Grease" is like mainstream musical, for people who don't normally like musicals.

I haven't seen "Rent" or "Hairspray" (although I've heard good things about both) but have seen "Chicago" which I thought was alright but nothing special.

I've gone the past four years, but because I've been tight for cash I couldn't go this year, and tickets went like super fast it was insane.
