Scott has a contract that allows him to do five less episodes than Alex so he can spend more time in LA. I suspect all the seperate scenes are so they can accomodate that requirement.

That's what I thought. I can understand that Scott wants to spend time in LA but it's a shame when Danny's scenes are separate from the others.
